Sir Mick Jagger, legendary front man of the Rolling Stones, has built a career spanning more than six decades, earning global fame and immense wealth. However, the rock icon has indicated that his eight children should not expect to inherit his entire fortune, particularly the band’s valuable music catalog.

Formed in London in 1962, the Rolling Stones have sold more than 200 million records and remain one of the most successful bands in music history.

Jagger has expressed little interest in selling the band’s post-1971 catalog simply to increase his children’s inheritance. Unlike artists such as Bob Dylan, who sold his catalog for an estimated $300 million, Jagger believes his children do not need hundreds of millions to live comfortably.

Instead, he has suggested that future catalog proceeds could be used for charitable causes, saying the money could “do some good in the world.”

Jagger’s eight children, whose ages range from childhood to their fifties, have pursued careers in modeling, entertainment, business, and the arts. His approach reflects a broader trend among wealthy individuals toward philanthropy and encouraging financial independence rather than passing down massive fortunes.
